Is getting a tattoo painful? The short answer is, yes. A tattoo requires applying ink by use of a needle under the first epidermal layer of skin. Pain tolerance is unique to each person, therefore, what is painful to one person may not be painful to another. We like to think that the end result is worth the temporary pain.
-
How much does a tattoo cost? The cost of a tattoo depends on several variables such as the size, complexity and location in which it is placed on the body. The shop minimum is $60 and we average $100/hour or more. Keep in mind that a tattoo is permanent and it is not ideal to cut costs. Our costs reflect the quality of our work.
-
How do I care for my tattoo? For the best results, it is imperative to follow an aftercare routine. Following every procedure, you will be sent home with an aftercare instructions sheet as well as verbal instructions. This sheet may also be viewed under our "forms & policies" page. You've spent the money on some fresh ink, so, be sure to ask your artist about the products we offer and reccommend to keep your tattoo looking new!

At what age can I get a tattoo? The legal age to get a tattoo varies by state. How long does it take for a tattoo to heal?On average, a tattoo takes about 2 to 4 weeks to heal on the surface. However, full healing below the skin can take up to 6 months. During the first few weeks, it’s normal to experience some peeling, itching, and slight scabbing. Proper aftercare—including keeping the tattoo clean, moisturized, and protected from the sun—is key to a smooth healing process and long-lasting results. If you ever notice unusual redness, swelling, or discharge, contact your artist or a medical professional, as these could be signs of infection.
